RAW Tips are not just any tips. They are made on an antique Fourdrinier paper machine. While RAW papers are produced in Alcoy, Spain, the thick tipping paper for these tips required a journey to Northern China. There, in an old paper mill still operating an original Fourdrinier machine, we found the perfect place to craft our special long-fiber paper.
The Magic of Fiber-Based Tips
Modern paper mills typically use small-structure cellulose to make paper. But for tipping paper to perform at its best, it needs to be made from fiber—not just boiled cellulose. Fiber-based tips roll smooth and maintain enough structural rigidity to keep their shape in your mouth and not dissolve. This is the secret behind RAW tips’ exceptional performance.
Why Fiber Matters
Using fiber instead of cellulose gives these tips their unique properties. They provide a smooth rolling experience and ensure the tips remain sturdy and intact, even after prolonged use. The long-fiber paper ensures that your tips won’t collapse or dissolve, giving you a consistent and enjoyable smoking experience every time.
Exclusive Production
There are only a few of these original Fourdrinier paper machines still in use because they’re antiques and expensive to operate. We were incredibly lucky to find this old mill—the only one in the world that can produce RAW tips to our exacting specifications.
